Which bed sheets are standard size?

Bed linen protects the bedding from contamination. It is important for hygienic reasons, as humans sweat while sleeping and the textiles become soiled with skin flakes. These flakes are eaten by dust mites; their excretions can cause allergic reactions ("dust mite allergy") in humans. This leads to the requirement that bed linen should be easily changeable and washable. In addition to its practical purpose, bed linen also serves aesthetic purposes. It can be used as a design element in the bedroom and create a pleasant or erotic atmosphere. There are bed sheets with and without elastic. Bed sheets with elastic are called fitted sheets. These are easier to handle and do not need to be ironed. Bed sheets come in many different sizes and fabrics.

With box spring beds, attention must be paid to the height of the edge (height of the mattress + topper), as box spring beds originate from America, the fitted sheets usually do not fit. There are special sizes for box spring beds and also for water beds. Sizes for box spring beds and water beds:

  • 200 x 220 cm
  • 220 x 220 cm

The shipping of the mattress occurs directly after your order has been received by us. The mattress will be packed and handed over to DPD. Upon handover, you will receive an email with the tracking number, where you can check your shipment.

Shipping and return shipping is free with Mister Sandman free of charge. If you don't like a product, contact our customer service, and they will organize the pickup free of charge at your home. For a return, you can easily schedule a pickup appointment for the mattress with our customer service.

To assess whether a mattress is suitable for your sleep type and needs, a few minutes of lying down in the store is by no means sufficient. Especially if the previous mattress was very worn out or did not fit well with the body and sleep habits, it can take some time for the body to unlearn its previous protective or incorrect posture and to get used to the new mattress and an orthopedic position. For this reason, Mister Sandman offers you the opportunity for trial sleeping for a full 30 days and nights to extensively test your new mattress. This also allows you to test the mattress in your familiar sleep environment and in conjunction with the bedroom furnishings.
